I am the owner of That's Amore Restaurant in Collingswood, NJ. I just have to take a few minutes to tell you what a fantastic job that Hoodz of Cherry Hill did with my hood cleaning.
It is not often that I run into someone who does such a fantastic job, that I feel it necessary to share this with you all.
Lauren, the owner, and one of her workers spent over an hour and a half evaluating my hood when they came for their initial visit. She put a camera on a flexible extended tripod and took a whole bunch of pictures inside the bowels of the ductwork. I have never seen anything like it!
They took pictures and showed me everything that needed to be done, and what was not done by the last company that cleaned my hood. They open the fan up and showed me that the under blades of the fan were never even cleaned...in fact the fan had never even been opened up because it was still sealed.
On the day that they came to do the actual work, they covered all my kitchen stuff and were there for hours doing a great job. Lauren is passionate about her job (I personally find it amazing that this young girl climbed up on my roof and was so knowledgeable about what she was doing). The hardest part was acting interested in a dirty hood, but she was so pleasant and her enthusiasm was infectious, she actually made it seem interesting.
After the job was done, she left me with before and after photos of all the areas that were cleaned and even gave me an id number to view the pictures on line
If you are considering a hood cleaning, you don't need to look any further. She's your man. I highly recommend their services. They were excellent. I have copied her info below. If you use them, please let them know that I recommended them to you. You will not be disappointed.

I called a few other companies from a Google search and I didn't find them friendly. They actually wanted me to tell them what I really wanted in detail which was hard for me to explain since I didn't know about what exactly has to be taken care of in order to maintain the exhaust. I finally called HOODZ and I was amazed from start. The secretary sounds so polite and so friendly and she knew exactly what I needed. She took my info and within an hour I got a call back and set up appointment. Well, I was extremely impressed that, in over 100 degree heat, someone arrived and was even 5 minutes early with a friendly approach. He gave me a good price and it was worth it. I found the job very well done and even my inspector was very satisfied and passed (allowed) me to open my business :) I definitely recommend them and my restaurant will continue to work with them for regular service in the future. We discovered our stack cleaners were doing a horrible job after we decided to switch companies due to communication and other issues. I have attached before and after pictures from Union Centre. The restaurant was a fire waiting to happen even though stacks were cleaned regularly. I strongly suggest you look into HOODZ. They have worked with us and have a plan within months to get everything where it needs to be. The thing I love is the owner is actively involved and takes pictures before and after so everyone can see results. I believe they are $25 to $50 higher in cost, but I am impressed with their work and most importantly the end result.

This is a simple letter of recommendation for Marty & Roxane Sargent the owners of HOODZ of Mid-MO/NW Metro St. Louis cleaning systems. The company specializes in the cleaning, services of restaurant exhaust systems.
As many of my fellow restaurateurs know it has been difficult if not impossible to find a reliable company to perform this very necessary service. At a minimum your hoods need to be cleaned at least two times per year, but we have ours serviced four times per year.
In a nutshell what HOODZ did not do for us:
- Did not promise one thing, and then perform another.
- Promise a time for the service and fail to show up.
- Showed up late, job was then not done properly and left a mess.
- Had to have a special time of day, typically Sunday when the job could be performed.
- They did not leave every pilot light extinguished.
- They did not blow and circuit breakers or destroy any pilot light thermo couples with water.
What HOODZ did do was a professional job, from start to finish. They inspected the systems thoroughly, and then gave us an accurate bid with specifics as to what services were to be performed. They serviced our hood exhaust system at night after closing, no supervision was needed, the job was excellent, there was no clean up afterwards, all pilot lights were ignited. The entire process was painless. Their before and after pictures are very useful, particularly for any insurance purposes. Their suggestions for grease containers and their systems are excellent. You usually pay for what you get, the money we spent with HOODZ is worth every dime. Finally there is a reliable and professional option for the Mid-Missouri area for this service. I recommend them highly.
